Question

Has anyone successfully used the canvas caddy to store doll clothes? Any pics?

I have an empty closet that I am trying to figure out how to use to it's best advantage without going broke in the process. I have all of the accessories in their boxes filling up the bottom of the closet, but there is lots of room up near the bar. I have been thinking of replacing the bar with something thinner so that I could hang the doll's clothes, but my husband doesn't want me altering the closet too much since we may have to sell the house.

    Any ideas?

Here you go! I have 3 of those Canvas Caddys, but only use the red hanger, I put the doll outfits on that, it can fit about 40 or so outfits per one hanger. Also, you can get a heavy type of hanger and use that too.

MaryCarly....I also didn't want to alter my closet too much, so here is what I did.

I cut a dowel to the length of my closet pole. I put it under my closet pole, with enough room for the hangers to clear the pole. Then, I just reinforced it with some ribbon on both sides, attaching, or hanging the dowel from the pole. I am almost ready to move my doll stuff to a bigger closet now, so all will have to do is untie the ribbons, and wa-la! My closet will be the same way it always was. I have been able to keep the dowel really loaded with clothing, too. It's been really sturdy. The key is to cut the dowel so that it fits snug against both sides of the wall.

    Was that clear as mud?

I don't use a closet, but I have seen on ebay and some of the Dollie stores people post on HB, they make a hangar that goes over the rod that we alreay have in our closet, I beleive Sheila has these hangers. I'll bet she has her Closet album in her list of albums.
